Common Questions
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the things people ask us most.
Who can access support from Mental Health 360?
Anyone in the UK who needs mental health support is welcome to get in touch. We work with individuals from all communities and have specialist programmes for rural communities (Rural Mind), armed-forces veterans (Veteran Mind), older adults (Seasoned Mind), and trades and construction workers (Trade Mind).
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can refer yourself directly by filling in our contact form or reaching out through one of our community sessions. You do not need to go through your GP first.
Is the support free?
We offer sliding-scale fees and free sessions are available. Cost should never be a barrier to support — when you get in touch, we'll talk through what works for your situation. Our peer support groups and signposting directory are free to access.
What if I'm in immediate danger or crisis right now?
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent mental health support, text SHOUT to 85258 (free, 24/7) or call Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24/7). Mental Health 360 is not a crisis service — please use these emergency routes if you need help right now.
Will my conversation be confidential?
Yes. Conversations with our team are confidential. We only share information outside our team where there is an immediate risk to life, or where we have a legal obligation to do so. We will always be transparent with you about what we share and why.
How long will I have to wait for support?
We don't operate lengthy waiting lists in the way statutory services often do. The exact timing depends on the type of support you need and our team's current capacity. When you get in touch, we'll be honest about timescales for the option that fits you best.
Where do you operate?
Mental Health 360 is based in Crewe, Cheshire, and works with people across the UK. Counselling and peer support sessions are available online, and we also run in-person community sessions and signpost to local services through our directory.
Can I support Mental Health 360's work?
Yes. You can donate via our donate page, become a Business Champion through our Business Partnerships programme, or get in touch about volunteering or partnership opportunities.
